Since IDC's inaugural Cloud Computing Conference in March 2009,the rapidly maturing cloud computing market has continued to impact both customer and vendor strategies. The cloud model in APeJ is now seen by most as a viable service delivery model, but the market penetration by cloud services has not yet reached the same levels as in the USA and Europe. IDC’s view is that the market for cloud services in Asia/Pacific lags that of the US & Europe & is in many ways different, thus warranting different go-to-market strategies for any participating vendor. The 2010 Cloud Computing conference will identify the differences to other regions and describe the APeJ cloud services market, providing valuable guidance to IT executives and strategists on both the demand and supply sides.
