Client virtualization has broadened in appeal beyond the usual verticals (financial services, government, transport) to other industries such as healthcare and manufacturing. Client virtualization is also filtering down to SMBs, as the shift towards cloud computing directs investments into a hosted environment.

"I am a strong believer of the 'KISS' principle. Although we have spent a lot of time on this – for example, we de-commissioned most of our legacy systems – there is still room to further simplify the systems and infrastructure. This will enable us to spend less time on maintenance and production support, and more time on innovation," says Henk ten Bos.
